Airports

FAAN's GAT is the old Ikeja domestic terminal, about a kilometre from the international building. MMA2 is Bi-Courtney's terminal, open to flights since 7 May 2007. ValueJet says premium-economy passengers leaving Lagos use the MMA2 premium lounge. If your ticket says GAT and the driver goes to MMA2, you are at the wrong building. Abuja's airport has an international and a domestic terminal on one runway. FAAN also describes a general-aviation terminal at Abuja for non-scheduled flights. Scheduled passengers should follow the terminal on the ticket, not the general-aviation building.

Airlines to check

United Nigeria, ValueJet and Ibom Air each list both Lagos and Abuja on their own sites, as of 31 October 2026. Ibom may route you through Uyo. Air Peace should be in the comparison because it publishes domestic bag rules and sells both cities on London flights, but this page has not copied an Air Peace domestic timetable.

At the airport, and the other way to go

Give yourself time inside Lagos. The airport is in Ikeja. Traffic, not the flight, is what usually makes people late, and this page will not pretend to know today's drive time. On landing in Abuja, the airport is southwest of the centre. Arrange the car for the district you are actually going to. Other Lagos departures: flights from Lagos to Port Harcourt, Jos, Uyo.
