FAAN describes Mallam Aminu Kano as the main airport for northern Nigeria, with an international terminal and a domestic terminal. The newer domestic terminal was commissioned on 23 May 2011. Do not treat the 2009 passenger count on that page as a current statistic. It is a historical line on the airport page, and it is not repeated here as today's traffic.
