Ikorodu is a city and a local government in Lagos State, north-east of Lagos, along the lagoon, sharing a boundary with Ogun State. A hotel search should say Ikorodu, not "Lagos", or you will be shown a different city.

Ikorodu is residential and commercial, not a resort strip. The stock you will see is lodges, short-lets and smaller hotels. Judge them on the recent reviews, what the price includes, and how far the pin is from the address you need: the garage, Agric, a family house, or a workplace. Wikipedia\'s population figures for the city are not repeated here. The geography is the part that changes the search.

Murtala Muhammed Airport is in Ikeja, on the other side of the state from Ikorodu. The road between them is Lagos traffic. This page will not quote a drive time or a taxi fare. If the point of the trip is a meeting in Ikeja, an Ikorodu hotel is the wrong search. If the point is Ikorodu itself, do not accept an airport hotel just because the site suggested it.

People landing from Abuja and then heading to Ikorodu should read Abuja to Lagos by flight for the terminal, then come back here for the room. Lagos to Abuja is the return.
